Steven Spielberg's new film "Bridge of Spies" (Trailer)
Steven Spielberg's new film "Bridge of Spies"
Trailer out now!
This is Steven Spielberg's newest film after "Lincoln" which was nominated for 12 Academy Awards. First "War Horse" then "Lincoln" and now "Bridge of Spies" Spielberg seems to be sticking with directing historical dramas. With "Jurassic World" coming out next week one wonders if Spielberg will ever come back to his science fiction roots.
Bridge of Spies Stars Tom Hanks!
An American lawyer is recruited by the CIA during the Cold War to help rescue a pilot detained in the Soviet Union.

Sweet Tea and Terminator 2
HELLO and welcome to CinemaChow a blog for CineFiles and Foodies. The goal of this blog is to hopefully turn you on to new foods/drinks/dishes and new films/TV shows. Here are some things to note when reading this blog.
I'm not a professional chef, so there will be a lot of guesstimating and just going with your gut when it comes to cooking. That also means no crazy equipment like a dough mixer, or garlic press because, let's be honest, who really has a garlic press? Obviously, you can make the dishes any way you want, but if you tweak a recipe let me know so I can try. Don't be selfish! :)
CinemaChow is all about exploring new things.
BUT where does the Cinema come in? Is this blog all about food? What the heck, lame...
Each recipe will be partnered up with a movie. Like today's blog is about Sweet Tea and T2, but more on that later. If it's a movie I don't think many of you have seen I'll tell you why you need to see it. If it's a popular movie I'll break down why it's so damn good and why you should go back and check it out. I'll dabble into the story, production, easter eggs, trivia, and how the film got to the big screen.
Ultimately, what I want to happen is you make the recipe then watch the movie. Has this ever happened to you: You make a bomb dish, it smells good, and you want to sit down and watch a killer movie, but you can't find anything on Netflix. You search, and search, and when you finally find the perfect film your food's either cold, or gone.
With CinemaChow you'll be able to cook a great meal and watch a great movie. Think of it like a book club for films with food! Now, let's get to the main course...
Before you start you'll need a few things:
INGREDIENTS LIST
Six Teabags (your favorite brand of course)
One cup of sugar
and WATER!
Start by filling up a teapot with water. I usually fill it up more than half way. No need to be exact.
Then put your water filled teapot on the stove and turn up the heat. Wait for it to start whistling. If you don't have a teapot then use a regular pot.
Once the water is ready put the teabags in the water. This is where the magic happens. I steep the tea inside the teapot and wait a long time. A real long time. 15 minutes is good, but an hour is better. Just let it sit.
While you wait, Terminator 2: Judgement Day was and still is one of the best action movies of all time. Iconic doesn't even begin to describe the awesomeness that is T2.
These are quotes not easily forgotten.
Directed by James Cameron and co-written with William Wisher, T2 far surpassed its predecessor, and kick started Cameron's career. Cameron sold the film rights to the first Terminator when he sold his screenplay. How much you ask? $1. Yeah. Talk about a value meal.
When Cameron wanted to make the sequel with a different production company, Carolco Pictures, they had to buy back the rights for $5,000,000. T2 would go on to have the largest production budget of its time ($102. Million), but was a huge financial success ($500+ million).
Many claim T2 is their favorite of the series. Terminator: Genysis comes out June 30th. Will it be able to top T2? What's your favorite? Was it the TV show? Did you even watch the TV show?
FAN THEORY: The story of The Terminator is about a robot who travels back in time to save John Connor's life. In the future John grows up to save the human race, and that's where the story ends right? Nope. In this Fan Theory there is no happily ever after. John and his ragtag survivors fight off the A.I. robots until eventually the robots take over the planet, but because the humans torched the sky in defense the robots need a new source of energy. The robots then turn to the dying humans for that energy. The robots place the humans into a sleep state while they drain their energy. This sleep state is called The Matrix.
FUN FACT: Given Arnold Schwarzenegger's $15-million salary and his total of 700 words of dialog, he was paid $21,429 per word. "Hasta la vista, baby" cost $85,716.
Is your tea cooled down yet? Good, now what I do is add the cup of sugar to a one gallon container. Then add the warm tea. Mix this together.
IMPORTANT: Let the sugar dissolve into the tea. This is what makes the drink consistent.
Then add the cold water, slowly, no reason to rush. Mix that all together. When you're done I like to throw it in the fridge until it's chilled.
And that's it. You have some great sweet tea.
You can watch T2 on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, or pick up the DVD.
Now grab your significant other watch T2 and tell your partner you have some Tea too. See what I did there...
I hope you enjoyed this blog, and if you've made it to the end please share it with your friends, and if you hated it please share it with your enemies. I would really appreciate it. Don't be afraid to click the hyperlinks. You never know where they might take you.
